For a long time I am able to forget…

But I always come back around to the truth that something is bothering me, deep in my spirit. I don’t know what it is or how to fix it, and the only person I am able to talk to about it is God.

Not like I don’t WANT anybody else to talk to, just that I do not HAVE anyone else at this point in my life to discuss these things with, nobody I am vulnerable in front of.

I’ve become intensely reclusive and that bothers me on top of the other bother. I hate this knowledge, though I’m not sure I want to forget about it again, either.

All these life events that got me down, the ones that tricked me into thinking they were worth my time…all the aftermath of feeling like an idiot and wishing I wasn’t so blind and wasteful…

It’s teaching me the lesson I always wanted to learn: how to not give a fuck what any other human being thinks of me.

It’s not apathy, just realizing we’re all human, and therefore shouldn’t feel lower or higher than anyone. Treat people with equal respect, beginning with yourself. Then it doesn’t matter who agrees or disagrees with you, you’re straight through all the opinions because you know where you stand.

Fuck all these pedestals and trying to win love from people who aren’t worth spinning my wheels. It’s humbling to see how I lowered myself around them, but the sting of those memories will remain as a thorn in my side to remind me the next time I try to devalue myself and find my worth in other peoples’ judgments.

Lessons from this weekend: never spend more than you have in your emotional bank account.

If you thought bank NSF fees were high, wait till you experience emotional debt.

Also, mind over matter in 99.9% of every situation. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter. If people don’t mind, they don’t matter. People gonna come and go, friends are few and far between, hard to find, precious treasures. Everybody else is just curious or greedy for personal gain.

Learning all of this slowly. Don’t let yourself be taken advantage of. Even when you do have extra emotional spending funds, the exchange rate is higher than you think. Kinda how the Euro is double the Dollar…time and effort spent on people who you know are never gonna give it back is going to catch up to you and you gotta be ready to deal with the fact you pretty much threw your pearls before swine. It’s never a fun revelation, and one that ought to be avoided at all costs. Currently chillin with the Cider, so I’m feeling like writing. Hope ya’ll are doing well and taking care of your hearts. They’re precious and irreplaceable.

So don’t treat your heart like shit, or else you bound to get flushed.

relationships, that is.

Two completely different individuals…committing themselves to one cause—each other.

Two worlds colliding…uniting together to form a new world, instead of destroying each other.

Pulling together, holding on…instead of pushing apart and letting go.

I have never had the pleasure of seeing this hope of mine fulfilled; this hope that not only is love indeed a choice, but that people can and do choose to do it for each other day in and day out, despite what their circumstances may throw in their path.

It’s probably just not time yet. Which is good, because I feel weary just thinking about opening up to someone again.
